Christmas at the Jackie Clarke Collection

The Jackie Clarke Collection is hosting their annual Christmas letter to Santa competition. The aim of this competition is to encourage young children to practice the sometimes forgotten tradition of handwriting their own Christmas letter to Santa. Just drop your letters into the big post box in the Jackie Clarke Collection! Closing date: Friday 1st of December 2017 at 4pm. The winners will travel with Santa from the Jackie Clarke Collection to his grotto in the Military Quarter on December 3rd when Santa arrives in Ballina! The winners will also receive a wonderful gift set from Toymaster, Ballina.
Santa’s arrival party takes place on Sunday December 3rd in the Jackie Clarke Collection from 2pm-5pm. Mrs Claus will be in attendance, reading Christmas stories and there will be a wonderful seasonal atmosphere with dance performances to Christmas songs and carols from the Moffatt School of Dance throughout the afternoon, as well as music from the Collection’s resident ‘Launch DJ’. There will be arts, crafts, face-painting and festive games with Ballina Girl Guides and some tasty treats available too. On this day also, for children, young and old, there will be a Christmas Treasure Hunt of Ballina, sponsored by Dillons Bar & Restaurant – sure to be lots of fun!

Running now until December 22nd is the wonderful Christmas display of Jackie's old Christmas annuals, magazines, newspapers, and adverts from bygone years. A lovely little stroll back Christmas Memory Lane!

We open again on January 2nd at 10am and join us on January 6th for our annual Nollaig na mBan event.
